Types of Treatments

Non-Surgical Treatment Options

Sports Injury Treatment

Orthopaedic Surgery

Shoulder, Hand & Elbow Specialists

At our practice, we provide advanced diagnosis and treatment for conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. These areas are complex and require specialised expertise to restore full function and reduce pain effectively.

Shoulder Conditions

The shoulder is one of the most mobile joints in the body, making it highly prone to injury and instability. We treat:

  • Rotator cuff tears and tendinitis
  • Shoulder impingement syndrome
  • Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)
  • Shoulder dislocations and instability
  • Arthritis of the shoulder joint

Treatment options range from conservative care to minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, aimed at restoring movement and reducing long-term damage.

Hip Replacement

We offer advanced hip and knee replacement surgery in Johannesburg, helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to an active, independent lifestyle.

Joint replacement surgery is recommended when chronic pain, stiffness, and reduced function significantly impact your quality of life and no longer respond to conservative treatment.

Hip replacement (also known as total hip arthroplasty) is a highly effective procedure used to replace a damaged or worn-out hip joint with a prosthetic implant.

Hip Replacement Conditions Treated:

Osteoarthritis of the hip
Rheumatoid arthritis
Hip fractures
Avascular necrosis
Degenerative joint disease

Knee Replacement Surgery

Knee replacement (total or partial knee arthroplasty) is performed to relieve severe knee pain and restore function in patients with advanced joint damage.

Conditions Treated:

Severe knee osteoarthritis
Post-traumatic arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis
Chronic knee instability or deformity

The damaged surfaces of the knee joint are replaced with high-quality prosthetic components, allowing smoother movement and improved joint alignment.

We offer:

•  Total knee replacement
Partial knee replacement (where suitable)
Patient-specific surgical planning

Non-Surgical Treatment Options

Not all orthopaedic conditions require surgery. We prioritise conservative (non-surgical) treatments wherever possible, helping patients recover safely with minimal disruption to their daily lives.

Each patient receives a tailored plan based on their condition, lifestyle, and recovery goals.
